%X This article covers the theoretical and practical foundations of speech preparation of children with hearing impairments for school education. The pedagogical conditions that are of great importance in the development of speech communication, colloquial speech, dialogic and monologic speech in children with hearing impairments are scientifically and methodologically analyzed. During the study, the content and essence of pedagogical, didactic and psychological-pedagogical conditions are revealed, and their role in the formation of speech in children with hearing impairments is substantiated. Also, the effectiveness of correctional and pedagogical activities based on organizing a subject-developing environment, creating an auditory-speech environment, effectively using residual hearing capabilities, establishing motivated speech communication, didactic games, conversations, exercises and innovative technologies is highlighted. The article analyzes the scientific views of scientists working in the field of national surdopedagogy, and shows pedagogical opportunities for developing communicative competencies, reading and lip reading skills in children with hearing impairments. The importance of a favorable educational environment, family cooperation, corrective exercises, and pedagogical approaches based on active communication, organized taking into account the age and individual characteristics of children, in the process of preparing for school is revealed.
