abstract: This article provides a classification of general information about Shamsiddin Sami’s six-volume Qamus ul-Alam. In the article, the history of the encyclopedia’s writing, its scope, the level of study, its importance today, the criticism and praise given by critics, and the libraries where the encyclopedia is stored at the present time are discussed. The information in the article is consistent and based on accurate information.
