The study is conducted on the example of Turkmen students studying sports activities, in particular judo, and highlights not only linguistic, but also socio-cultural and communicative aspects of the language learning process. Uzbek language lessons are considered an important factor in ensuring students' adaptation to the new educational and sports environment, participation in team activities, and effective communication between coaches and athletes. The article discusses the relationship between language competence and sports performance, as well as the impact of the social adaptation process on identity formation from a theoretical and practical perspective. The results of the study show that the level of mastery of the Uzbek language directly affects the athletes' activity in training, the quality of performing technical tasks, and the process of integration into the team. At the same time, the language learning process serves to form two cultural identities for students - national and social identity adapted to the host culture.2026-01-01Article
