abstract: This article discusses the reforms carried out by the Russian Empire in the education system of Turkestan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It examines the activities of Russian-native (Russo-native) schools and gymnasiums that reflected the policy of Russification during these processes, as well as the methods of involving the local population in these institutions and the consequences observed as a result of these reforms.
