      "abstract": "This article analyzes the artistic, moral, and educational interpretation of crime and punishment motifs in Uzbek folk tales. As an important epic genre of oral folklore, fairy tales are distinguished by their figurative representation of contrasting concepts such as good and evil, honesty and deceit, justice and oppression, truthfulness and falsehood. The article argues that crime in folk tales is not presented primarily as a legal category, but rather as a violation of moral norms, evil intention, oppression, deception, injustice, and social inequality. The motif of punishment is interpreted as the defeat of evil forces, the restoration of justice, the victory of positive heroes, and a means of moral education for the younger generation. Through examples such as \u201cUch og\u2018a-ini botirlar\u201d, \u201cZumrad va Qimmat\u201d, \u201cZolim podsho\u201d, and \u201cHusniyabonu\u201d, the article reveals the role of crime and punishment in plot construction, conflict resolution, and educational function. The article also highlights the importance of fairy tales in developing children\u2019s speech activity, thinking, and moral worldview.",
