N2  - This article examines the image of Alexander in Alisher Navoi?s Saddi Iskandari through the interaction of historical reality and artistic fiction. The study comparatively analyzes the historical figure of Alexander the Great and the literary image of Iskandar created by Navoi. It demonstrates that the portrayal of Iskandar as a just, enlightened, and wise ruler is closely connected with the traditions of Eastern literature and the poet?s aesthetic vision. Historical-comparative, linguopoetic, and hermeneutic methods are employed in the research. The study highlights the role of symbolic imagery, philosophical dialogues, and religious-legendary motifs in elevating Iskandar to the level of an artistic ideal. Furthermore, it argues that Navoi was less concerned with the exact representation of historical events than with expressing his ideas of an ideal society, justice, and the perfect human being through them.
