Modern trends in the development of higher education are studied based on the approaches developed within the framework of UNESCO, OECD, the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and the Bologna process. The article also covers issues of digital transformation processes, the use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms, expanding research activities, and participation in international grant projects. The issues of training personnel in line with the requirements of the labor market, improving educational programs based on a competency-based approach, and strengthening the position of universities in international rankings are also considered as important areas.
