The influence of social networks, online communication tools, and digital technologies on adolescent personality is examined through the lens of Erik Erikson’s psychosocial development theory and James Marcia’s identity status model. The study addresses issues of digital identity, virtual self-presentation, and the conflict between online and offline selves. The empirical research was conducted among students of secondary schools in Kokand city, covering 120 adolescents aged 14–17. The findings identify both positive and negative impacts of the digital environment on identity formation, and practical pedagogical recommendations are proposed.2026-01-01Article
