%T METHODOLOGY FOR IMPROVING THE ORAL SPEECH SKILLS OF FUTURE ENGLISH TEACHERS (BASED ON THE COURSES "ORAL SPEECH PRACTICE" AND "LISTENING COMPREHENSION")
%X English has become the main language of international communication, which makes the oralskills of future English teachers an important concern in teacher training. New curricula are in place, yetstudents often leave their courses without the fluency they need to speak freely. This article presents ateaching method that links two courses — "Listening Comprehension" and "Oral Speech Practice" — andbrings communicative and interactive activities together with digital tools. Sixty fourth-year students atNamangan State Pedagogical Institute took part in the experiment. By the end, oral skills in theexperimental group reached 81 per cent, against 56 per cent in the control group. The gap points to thevalue of teaching the two courses as a single, connected system.
