N2  - The article provides a theoretical substantiation of the didactic potential of mobile learning technologies (m-learning) in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of teaching the subject «Informatics and Information Technologies». The study is based on a systematic analysis of sources published over the last five years (2020?2025) in reputable international databases (Scopus, Web of Science). It is shown that such properties of mobile learning as portability, continuous connectivity, context adaptivity and personalization correspond to the practice- and skill-oriented nature of informatics. It is analyzed how microlearning tools, mobile programming environments, instant feedback and gamification contribute to increasing learners? engagement and intrinsic motivation. The pedagogical and organizational conditions and barriers for the effective implementation of m-learning are also identified.
