N2  - This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the genesis and evolution of the child image in fiction. The study examines the formation of the child image beginning with the literary and aesthetic concepts of antiquity, particularly Aristotle?s theoretical views on artistic representation, and systematically traces its major stages of development in world and Uzbek literature. The paper explores the transformation of the child image from a secondary character into an independent central artistic and aesthetic figure. It also analyzes the changing aesthetic and social perceptions of childhood across different historical periods, highlighting the literary representation of children's inner world, emotional experiences, dreams, aspirations, and perception of reality in relation to the evolution of artistic interpretation. Furthermore, the study substantiates the historical development of the child image, its integration with national and universal values, and its emergence in modern literature as an important means of psychological characterization, the portrayal of individual identity, and artistic expression.
