%X This article highlights the history and scientific-theoretical foundations of the comparative-typological study of Uzbek folk proverbs in comparison with foreign and cognate paremiology. The study synthesizes the stages of collecting and systematizing national folklore samples, the historical-genetic roots of proverbs, the characteristics of national color, as well as the regularities of interlingual equivalence and transformation.
