%X Contemporary environmental challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem degradation, require interdisciplinary approaches that integrate ecological science, cultural knowledge, and philosophical reflection. Anglophone environmental philosophy has significantly influenced global ecological discourse by emphasizing ethical responsibility, ecological interdependence, and sustainable relations between humans and nature. This article examines traditional herbal medicine practices in Uzbekistan within this philosophical paradigm, arguing that local ecological knowledge represents a culturally embedded form of environmental ethics. Special attention is given to the Bukhara region near the Kyzylkum desert, where local communities have developed adaptive ecological knowledge to survive in arid climatic conditions. Traditional medicinal plant practices are considered not only as healthcare strategies but also as forms of intangible cultural heritage that regulate sustainable interaction with fragile ecosystems.
