The study identifies bird names occurring in the text and analyzes their lexical-semantic classification, denotative and connotative meanings, functional-stylistic roles, and contribution to the creation of artistic imagery. Particular attention is paid to the linguocultural significance of ornithonyms in relation to the Uzbek people's worldview, hunting traditions, aesthetic values, and mythopoetic perceptions. The analysis demonstrates that ornithonyms such as shunqor, lochin, qirg‘iy, tuyg‘un, bulbul, turna, g‘oz, tovus, and so‘na function not only as lexical units denoting birds but also as important poetic devices expressing courage, agility, beauty, love, separation, and emotional experiences of the characters.
