%X This article analyses the didactic and methodological potential of Native Language and Reading Literacy lessons for developing primary school pupils’ creative competence from theoretical and experimental perspectives. Creative competence is interpreted as an integrated unity of idea generation, argumentation, communicative expression, flexibility and self-analysis. The major methodological opportunities identified include text comprehension and reinterpretation, question generation, alternative endings, transformation of language units, evidence-based reasoning, multimodal product creation and criterion-referenced assessment. The KOB, K–5B, SDN, KGT, KOTT, KRH and KDT methods were integrated into the sequence “idea → evidence → expression → self-analysis”.
