N2  - This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the linguistic representation of the concept of ?love? and other closely related social relationships in Uzbek folk proverbs. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that folk proverbs serve as one of the most significant reflections of national thought, moral values, and social relations. In particular, the category of ?love? constitutes a central semantic core that represents not only personal emotions but also family relationships, friendship, kinship, loyalty, respect, and other important social bonds. Drawing on Uzbek folk proverbs, the study examines the semantic field of the concept of ?love,? its representation through various linguistic units, and its expression by means of metaphorical and symbolic devices. Different manifestations of love, including parental love, romantic love, patriotism, and humanism, are also analyzed through proverbial examples. The study explores how social concepts associated with love, such as loyalty, trust, patience, tolerance, kindness, and mutual care, are expressed through linguistic means. Linguocultural, semantic, pragmatic, and cognitive approaches are employed to examine the semantic layers of the proverbs and their sociocultural significance. The findings demonstrate that ?love? is represented in Uzbek folk proverbs as a broad and multifaceted concept that plays an important role in regulating moral norms and social relations within society. The results have theoretical and practical significance for Uzbek linguistics, folklore studies, linguocultural studies, and cultural studies and may serve as an important resource for studying and transmitting national values to younger generations.
