The pedagogical and psychological factors associated with the positive and negative effects of multimedia tools and interactive platforms on students’ cognitive processes are classified. A comprehensive set of pedagogical conditions for managing cognitive load and promoting the balanced development of students’ cognitive activity is identified. The study employed a systematic comparative and logical analysis of more than 30 local and international scientific sources, monographs, and review studies on neuro-pedagogy and digital educational technologies. A systems approach methodology was also applied to assess the effects of digital information on students’ cognitive activity and cognitive load. The authors developed a five-component systemic model that integrates external factors, pedagogical conditions, and internal neurocognitive processes and represents the mechanism through which digital technologies rationally influence students’ cognitive activity. The findings theoretically substantiate that digital technologies can enhance concentration and problem-solving skills, whereas uncontrolled content and excessive use may lead to a substantial increase in cognitive load and a decline in attention. The impact of digital technologies on students’ cognitive activity depends on their pedagogically appropriate organization and implementation. Purposeful and regulated use of digital technologies can improve the quality of the learning process. In this context, pedagogical supervision by teachers constitutes a key factor in optimizing students’ cognitive activity.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2083"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2083_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
