TY - JOUR A1 - Raximberdiyev, Sardorbek SP - 50 EP - 54 N2 - This article analyzes the historical, demographic, socioeconomic, and institutional factors shaping the migration of Uzbek women to the Republic of Korea for marriage. The rise in international marriages in the Republic of Korea since the late 1980s and 1990s is explained by the declining number of women of marriageable age in rural areas, the growing demand for transnational marriages, the activities of international marriage agencies, and the gradual institutionalization of marriage migration.
