%R OJS:2286 %T FROM ARABIC ORATORY TO THE GENRE OF KHUTBA: THE FORMATION OF EARLY MEDIEVAL ARABIC PROSE %D 2026 %J Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere %X This article examines the nature of early medieval Arabic khitaba as a literary genre and addresses the issue of its authenticity and indigenous origins. European views that deny khitaba the status of a literary genre, as well as hypotheses concerning the influence of Greco-Roman rhetoric or Hellenistic culture on Arabic khitaba, are critically analyzed. The study argues that khitaba developed not under foreign cultural influence but as a product of indigenous Arabic literary and artistic thought. %A Feruza Djurayeva %L arxiv2093 %N 8 %V 3 %P 233-236
