abstract: This article analyzes the semantic features of carpet-weaving terminology in the Uzbek language from a linguistic perspective. It examines the semantic structure of carpet-weaving terms, the semantic relationships among them, including synonymy, polysemy, and homonymy, as well as changes in terminology across dialects and throughout its historical development. The findings demonstrate that carpet-weaving terminology constitutes a rich and productive lexical domain with distinctive features that differentiate it from general language. The results of the study have practical significance for the investigation of specialized terminology in Uzbek linguistics, dictionary compilation, and ethnolinguistic research.
