The main principles of social identity theory are applied to the analysis of literary texts. Drawing on specific poetic works, the study explores the poetic function of the opposition between the pronouns “we” and “I,” the position of the individual under the gaze of society, the need for differentiation and its social evaluation, as well as the unresolved search for belonging. The author concludes that in the poetry of the younger generation, social identity is most vividly manifested at moments of crisis, particularly when the individual is unable to find a place within the community.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2127"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2127_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
