      "abstract": "This article examines, from comparative-discursive and cognitive perspectives, the terminological system representing distance education and its transformational forms in English and Uzbek, one of the prominent conceptual areas of contemporary comparative linguistics, sociolinguistics, cyberlinguistics, and computer-mediated communication discourse. The study explores the semantic fields of \u201cdistance education,\u201d \u201conline education,\u201d \u201cdigital education,\u201d \u201ce-learning,\u201d \u201cblended learning,\u201d \u201chybrid learning,\u201d and \u201csynchronous/asynchronous learning.\u201d Their linguistic nature, hierarchical organization, conceptual boundaries, and cross-linguistic correlations are analyzed in light of recent developments in national and international linguistic scholarship. The article also illustrates linguistic economy and structural reduction in cyberspace, as well as the gradual specialization of digital discourse into mega-, macro-, and microstructures through specific examples. The findings provide a basis for normalizing the terminological system of the Uzbek language and standardizing linguistic units used in the cyber environment.",
