It examines the study of zeugma within stylistic, syntactic, syntactic-semantic, cognitive, and pragmatic approaches and identifies the similarities and differences among these perspectives. The study considers the structural organization of zeugmatic constructions, the relationship of a shared predicate with different syntactic and semantic components, as well as such features as syntactic economy, semantic incongruity, expressiveness, and communicative impact. It is argued that zeugma should be regarded not merely as a stylistic figure but as a complex linguistic phenomenon resulting from the interaction of syntactic, semantic, cognitive, and pragmatic factors. Particular attention is paid to the derivational nature of zeugma, and its status as a structurally and semantically derived syntactic unit is substantiated.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2164"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2164_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
