      "abstract": "This article analyzes the subjective interpretation of objective truth in Julian Barnes\u2019s postmodern biographical novel Flaubert\u2019s Parrot. The study examines the postmodern deconstructive approach to the genre of biography and the mechanisms through which the writer\u2019s life and literary work are artistically reinterpreted. It argues that the representation of the life of Gustave Flaubert, a major figure in nineteenth-century French literature, through the personal experiences, memories, and reflections of the protagonist and narrator Geoffrey Braithwaite reveals the relative and subjective nature of objective biographical truth. The novel\u2019s combination of various genres and documentary forms\u2014including chronology, dictionary, manifesto, examination paper, critical essay, apocrypha, bestiary, biography, and autobiography\u2014is examined as a distinctive feature of postmodern narrative. The article also explores the author\u2019s reconstruction and reinterpretation of historical and biographical truth through intertextual allusions and intergeneric synthesis. The study concludes that the novel is a significant work demonstrating the theoretical and artistic possibilities of postmodern biography.",
