While Nodira’s ghazal expresses love, separation, union with the beloved, the rival, suffering, and the lover’s emotional experiences in accordance with the conventions of classical poetics, Farogat Kamolova’s mukhammas develops these motifs and images within a new artistic context. The article analyzes the tradition of takhmis composition, literary continuity, intertextual relationships, the system of images, symbolic meanings, the inner world of the lyrical persona, and the use of poetic devices. It demonstrates that the traditional images of “flower – thorn,” “wall – shadow,” and “cypress” in Nodira’s text are expanded in Farogat Kamolova’s mukhammas through such images as “treasure – snake,” “dust beneath the feet,” “beggar,” and “ominous rival,” reflecting the poet’s creative approach. The mukhammas is evaluated as a contemporary continuation of Nodira’s poetic tradition. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2400 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 19-23 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Turopova, Parizod (2026) MUKHAMMAS: TRADITION, CONTINUITY, AND ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION (BASED ON FAROGAT KAMOLOVA’S MUKHAMMAS ON NODIRA’S GHAZAL).
