%X The article examines the visual environment of media texts as a means of developing learners’ oral communication skills in Russian language teaching. It clarifies the concept of the “visual environment of a media text,” explores its communicative and linguodidactic potential, and identifies the main conditions for using visual materials to develop oral speech skills.
