From a scientific and theoretical perspective, the study examines the potential of artificial intelligence for searching, selecting, systematizing, and analyzing scientific information, refining research problems, generating scientific ideas, processing data, and analyzing research results. It is argued that the use of artificial intelligence should not restrict researchers’ independent thinking or scientific responsibility but should instead support and enhance their research activities. The article examines the interrelated principles of human-centeredness, scientific purposefulness, methodological consistency, critical verification, academic integrity, transparency, information security, individualized approach, and reflexivity. In addition, the views of Uzbek scholars in the fields of artificial intelligence and pedagogy are comparatively analyzed alongside international scientific approaches, and the use of AI tools in higher education is interpreted as a new pedagogical opportunity for developing research skills.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2245"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2245_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
