The author analyzes the impact of globalization on the education system, interpretations of spirituality and enlightenment in Eastern and Western philosophical traditions, and the dialectical relationship between national and universal human values. The study considers the educational, integrative, protective, and creative-developmental functions of spiritual and educational activities. It argues that a modern higher education institution is no longer merely a place for professional education but has also become a space where various global ideological currents intersect. The author demonstrates that a one-sided assessment of globalization as an exclusively positive or negative phenomenon is scientifically unfounded and proposes an approach based on the principle of glocalization. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the level of institutional preparedness for spiritual and educational activities and their effectiveness. The study concludes with practical recommendations for improving spiritual and educational work within the higher education system.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2277"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2277_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
