It examines the semantic and artistic functions of such female figures as the mother, beloved, daughter-in-law, young woman, wise woman, faithful wife, and heroine represented in folk epics, fairy tales, legends and narratives, songs, proverbs, and sayings. The study considers the forms through which qualities traditionally associated with female characters—beauty, loyalty, patience, love, wisdom, and self-sacrifice—are expressed in folklore. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2458 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 380-384 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Xoliqova, Barchinoy (2026) TRADITIONAL AND MODERN INTERPRETATIONS OF THE FEMALE IMAGE IN UZBEK FOLKLORE.
