The content of creative competence is examined through the interrelationship between divergent thinking, pedagogical flexibility, creative motivation, reflective ability, and creative-communicative activity. The article substantiates opportunities for developing creative thinking in the professional training of prospective preschool educators, applying non-standard approaches to pedagogical situations, generating alternative solutions, taking into account children’s individual characteristics, and creatively organizing the educational process. It also highlights the importance of a creative learning environment, problem-based pedagogical situations, project-based activities, pedagogical training, and a reflective approach in developing creative competence.
