The study aims to distinguish between the formation of belief and the justification of knowledge. Based on selected texts, the critical function of doubt, the evidential function of burhan, and the experiential function of kashf are identified. An approach is proposed that links the origin of a claim, its evidential strength, and the limits of its application. Religious acceptability is not equated with proof, while personal experience is not treated as universally valid evidence. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2478 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 216-219 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Siddiqov, Ilyosjon (2026) DOUBT, DEMONSTRATION AND UNVEILING IN ABŪ ḤĀMID AL-GHAZĀLĪ’S THOUGHT: EPISTEMOLOGICAL CRITERIA OF CERTAIN KNOWLEDGE AND THEOLOGICAL LIMITS.
