%X This article examines the historical and legal aspects of local government bodies in the Uzbek SSR during the 1930s. Based on historical sources and scholarly literature, the study also analyzes the implementation of collectivization in the Uzbek SSR during the period under review, its impact on the activities of local government bodies, and the re-elections to local Soviets held in 1930. Particular attention is also paid to the formation, powers, and activities of mahalla committees in the 1930s.
