The study aims to identify the epistemological and axiological criteria of information manipulation and to substantiate the impact of the post-truth phenomenon on the transformation of mass consciousness. The research employs comparative analysis, analysis and synthesis, systemic and functional approaches, sociological surveys, and observation. The findings indicate that information manipulation in the contemporary digital environment is carried out through complex forms such as fake news, disinformation, algorithmic control, targeted influence, and bot networks. The virtualization of truth is characterized as a process in which reality is reconstructed in the digital environment and replaced by media representations. In the process of simulacrization, information becomes detached from its original source and acquires an independent virtual meaning. Under post-truth conditions, emotional influence is shown to prevail over factual evidence, while rational approaches become weakened. The scientific novelty of the study lies in its systematic examination of the interrelationship among information manipulation, virtualization, and the post-truth phenomenon. The findings may be applied in the development of media literacy, critical thinking, and information security programs.
