The study substantiates that, under conditions of democratic change, ensuring social justice is a strategic task not only in economic and legal terms but also from spiritual, ethical, and philosophical perspectives. Three major dimensions of social justice are systematically examined: the equitable distribution of resources and opportunities, equal rights and freedoms for citizens, and the active participation of civil society institutions. The social structure of society, its capacity for self-renewal and self-regulation, and the importance of ensuring social justice in a knowledge society are examined from a philosophical perspective. The article comparatively analyzes the social-democratic experience of Western countries, particularly the Scandinavian (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway), Continental (Germany, Austria, Belgium, and France), and Anglo-American models. Five key principles underlying the social-democratic approach to social justice are identified: orienting the market toward social goals, ensuring equal opportunities, promoting economic justice, encouraging democratic participation, and guaranteeing social services through the state. The findings provide a scientific basis for applying international experience in developing a national model of social justice within Uzbekistan’s democratic transformation process.
