%X This article analyzes the pedagogical opportunities of the innovative “LanguagePortfolio” approach in developing students’ learning and cognitive activity. Its didactic features related to setting learning goals, independent knowledge acquisition, self-assessment, and reflection are examined. The pedagogical opportunities are systematized into activating-motivational, cognitive-organizational, reflective-diagnostic, and prognostic-developmental dimensions. It is substantiated that the systematic use of the Language Portfolio contributes to the development of student autonomy, reflective thinking, and individual learning trajectories.
