The study examines changes in political approaches to the Aral Sea region since 2016, as well as issues of cultural memory, identity, education, public participation, and socio-economic adaptation. It assesses the opportunities and limitations of cultural initiatives such as museums, the Stihia Festival, the Aral Culture Summit, and YONAR.
