      "abstract": "This article analyzes the pedagogical and psychological mechanisms for developingstudents\u2019 research activities based on a heuristic approach. It is substantiated thatresearch activity is not limited to the acquisition of ready-made knowledge butencompasses understanding problem situations, formulating questions, proposinghypotheses, searching for information, analyzing evidence, comparing alternativesolutions, and reflectively evaluating one\u2019s own activities. The psychological dimension ofthe heuristic approach is examined in relation to students\u2019 cognitive needs, intrinsicmotivation, independent thinking, creative and critical thinking, and metacognitiveprocesses.",
