%X This article analyzes issues related to the date of construction and the naming ofthe Shaybani Khan Madrasah, built by Muhammad Shaybani Khan in the sixteenth century. It also examines Muhammad Shaybani Khan’s religious and scholarly views, the education he received under the influence of Naqshbandi sheikhs, and his interest in Transoxiana.
