"title": "STRUCTURE OF OFFICIAL E-MAILS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK AND THE SEMANTICS OF THEIR LEXICAL UNITS",
"abstract": "This article provides a comparative analysis of the compositional structure of formal emails in English and Uzbek, as well as the functional-semantic characteristics of the lexical units used in them. Based on a corpus of 150 formal emails, the study identifies five main structural components: the subject line, greeting, main body, closing formula, and signature. It also examines the use of politeness formulas, abbreviations, and domain-specific terminology. The findings demonstrate the relative predominance of conciseness and precision in English emails, whereas Uzbek emails tend to place greater emphasis on respect, mitigation, and explanatory detail.",
