Based on a corpus of 150 formal emails, the study identifies five main structural components: the subject line, greeting, main body, closing formula, and signature. It also examines the use of politeness formulas, abbreviations, and domain-specific terminology. The findings demonstrate the relative predominance of conciseness and precision in English emails, whereas Uzbek emails tend to place greater emphasis on respect, mitigation, and explanatory detail. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2574 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 210-214 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Ashurova, Muxayyoxon (2026) STRUCTURE OF OFFICIAL E-MAILS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK AND THE SEMANTICS OF THEIR LEXICAL UNITS.
