It examines the military-political, agrarian, and demographic objectives of the resettlement process, the legal documents regulating it, and the activities of administrative institutions. The study demonstrates that opportunities for settling migrant populations varied across the Semirechye, Syr Darya, Samarkand, and Fergana regions, with land and water resources, population density, and existing economic systems playing a decisive role. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2583 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 228-231 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Qo‘ziboyev, Iskandar (2026) THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE’S POLICY OF RESETTLING THE PEASANT POPULATION TO THE TURKESTAN REGION.
