Although the two authors belong to different literary, religious, philosophical, and cultural traditions, their works devote considerable artistic attention to knowledge, self-understanding, moral perfection, truth, justice, and the transformation of the human personality. The article draws on examples from Hayrat ul-Abror, Saddi Iskandariy, Hamlet, and King Lear. In Navoi’s works, ma’rifat is closely associated with divine knowledge, spiritual purification, wisdom, justice, the discipline of the nafs, and the Sufi concept of the perfect human being. In Shakespeare’s tragedies, by contrast, knowledge is acquired primarily through doubt, experience, suffering, self-examination, and moral choice. The article argues that, rather than seeking direct historical influence between the two literary systems, it is more appropriate to identify their functional and typological affinities. The comparative analysis demonstrates that Navoi primarily interprets perfection as a spiritually oriented movement toward harmony among knowledge, morality, and divine truth, whereas Shakespeare dramatically presents knowledge as an unstable and often painful process leading to an understanding of the self, other human beings, and the moral structure of human existence.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2411"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2411_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
