National clothing is considered an important means of reflecting a people’s historical memory, artistic thinking, aesthetic values, and cultural identity. Using a comparative analytical method based on a cultural studies approach, the study examines the aesthetic characteristics of atlas and adras fabrics, traditional skullcaps (do‘ppi), jewelry, and color symbolism. The findings demonstrate the pedagogical significance of traditional clothing and accessories in developing color sensitivity, compositional thinking, understanding of ornamentation, aesthetic evaluation, and creative approaches. The development of national aesthetic taste is substantiated as a consistent unity of the stages of perception, comprehension of meaning, and creative application. The study also establishes that integrating national clothing and accessories into the educational process contributes to developing students’ value-based attitudes toward national cultural heritage, aesthetic choice, and competencies in creating contemporary design solutions. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2636 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 9 pagerange: 343-347 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Doniyorova, Shahnoza (2026) CULTURAL AND PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF TRADITIONAL CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ NATIONAL AESTHETIC TASTE.
