Tutoring is considered a comprehensive pedagogical system encompassing academic support, individual counseling, involvement in educational and developmental activities, socio-psychological adaptation, career guidance, motivational support, monitoring, and reflective activities. The study was conducted with 21 tutors working at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University and employed a structural-functional analysis based on pedagogical diagnostics. The results showed that organizing tutoring on a purposeful pedagogical basis enhances the effectiveness of individual counseling, students’ socio-psychological adaptation, academic support, and career guidance. Based on the findings, the necessity of shifting tutoring from an organizational and supervisory model toward a model of pedagogical support and individualized development is substantiated.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mods:mods>
