%X The article analyzes the intertextual functions of Qur’anic verses, hadiths, and religious texts in Khayriddin Sultan’s novel Yaldo Kechasi based on the theories of Kristeva, Bakhtin, Genette, Karaulov, and Lotman. It identifies the historical-atmospheric, characterological, compositional-ideological, artistic-aesthetic, and polemical functions of religious texts, as well as the forms of their manifestation, and reveals the paratextual meaning of the novel’s title.
