It examines the role of communication in a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development, the content of communication skills, verbal and nonverbal means of communication, and the pedagogical conditions required for their development. Particular attention is paid to developing skills such as initiating communication, expressing needs and wishes, asking for help, and starting and maintaining conversations among children with special educational needs, including those experiencing difficulties in intellectual development. Based on an analysis of psychological and pedagogical sources, the study demonstrates that children’s communicative development is effectively fostered through real-life activities, play, interaction with peers, and support from adults.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2497"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2497_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
