The study comparatively and systematically synthesizes scholarship on attachment, psychosocial development, stress and coping, the psychology of motherhood, conscious parenthood, and self-esteem. The determinants of psycho-emotional well-being are organized into five interrelated domains: adaptation to the maternal role; emotional strain, anxiety, and risk of depressive symptoms; self-esteem and personal identity; family relationships; and social support and connection with professional life. These domains are shown to operate through the interaction of biological conditions, individual psychological resources, and the social environment. The article proposes practical directions for early identification of emotional difficulties, psychoeducational support, stronger spousal and family assistance, and support during the transition back to employment.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2499"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2499_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
