Drawing on television programs, news reports, and interview texts in English and Uzbek, the study examines the formation of contextual meaning through polysemy, the emotional and expressive functions of stylistic devices such as metaphor and bathos, the selection of cohesive devices, violations of the cooperative maxims, and mechanisms of turn-taking management. The analysis identifies both shared and culturally specific features of media discourse in English and Uzbek.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2502"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2502_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
