It examines the methodological potential of corpus linguistics, lexical semantics, cognitive linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, and ecolinguistics in collocation research. Environmental collocations are interpreted not merely as stable combinations of lexical units but as multilayered linguistic units that contribute to the conceptualization and evaluation of environmental reality and the construction of particular discursive positions. Using an integrative theoretical approach, the study synthesizes the interrelationships among different linguistic paradigms. The findings substantiate the value of examining environmental collocations as discursive units that integrate lexical stability, semantic coherence, cognitive framing, and pragmatic influence. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2674 full_text_status: public publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 10 pagerange: 47-50 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Akramova, Nazira (2026) CONTEMPORARY LINGUISTIC PARADIGMS FOR STUDYING COLLOCATIONS IN ENVIRONMENTAL DISCOURSE.
