Drawing on material from both languages, the study examines the combination of academic and conversational registers within a single teacher's utterance, as well as stylistic inconsistencies between textbook instructions and instructional texts. The linguistic devices filling the opening, address, and assessment slots of the lesson frame are compared. The findings indicate that components of social distance, respect, and linguistic mitigation are more prominently expressed in Uzbek educational discourse.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2510"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2510_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
